Cross Timbers MTB The Team Behind the Team

Parents &
Volunteers

A positive youth sports experience depends on the adults around it. Parents, coaches, and volunteers help make Cross Timbers MTB safe, organized, welcoming, and fun.

What We Ask of Families

Parent Expectations

We ask parents and guardians to help protect the culture we want for every athlete:

  • Use appropriate behavior and language.
  • Practice mature conflict resolution.
  • Put rider safety first.
  • Keep competition friendly.
  • Offer healthy encouragement.
  • Cheer for all athletes, not only your own.
  • Help your rider arrive prepared and on time.
  • Encourage your athlete to take ownership of their gear and readiness.
Healthy Encouragement

Their Value Is Not Tied to a Result

Ask about the ride. Ask what they learned. Celebrate effort, courage, growth, teamwork, and kindness.

We want young people who still love sport — and riding — years from now.

Coach & Volunteer Opportunities

Safe group riding requires appropriate coach-to-rider ratios. Volunteers also make practices, races, fundraisers, and team events possible.

You can help by:

  • Becoming a NICA coach
  • Supporting rides and race weekends
  • Helping with team logistics
  • Assisting with fundraising and Booster Club efforts
  • Welcoming new families
  • Cheering for every athlete
Team Communication

Flysport.cc is Our Hub

Flysport.cc is the team's primary communication platform for:

  • Practice updates and cancellations
  • Attendance confirmation
  • Race-weekend logistics
  • Parent questions
  • Coach communication and response windows

Please keep your family's contact information current and confirm attendance for every practice.
